Nous Louis-Joseph de Bourbon, prince de Condé, prince du sang, pair et grand-maître de France, duc de Guise etc. etc., colonel-général de l'infanterie française et étrangère, chevalier des ordres du Roi de France et de l'ordre de Saint-André de Russie, grand prieur de l'ordre hospitalier de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem de Malte au grand prieuré de Russie, commandant le corps de noblesse et de troupes françaises au service de Sa Majesté l'Empereur de toutes les Russies,
Certifions que M. Philippe de Horrer, de la province d'Alsace, émigré le 18 août 1792, nous a joints le 1er octobre 1795, et a servi depuis cette époque jusqu'à ce jour sous nos ordres, ayant fait les campagnes de 1796 et 1797 dans le corps des Chevaliers de la Couronne, et servant depuis la nouvelle formation dans le Régiment noble à cheval ; qu'il s'est trouvé à toutes les affaires de la campagne de 1796 où la cavalerie a été employée, nommément à celles des 13 août et 24 octobre ; qu'il s'est conduit avec honneur, se distinguant par son zèle, son courage et sa bonne volonté.
En foi de quoi Nous lui avons fait expédier le présent certificat, signé de Notre main, contre-signé par le Secrétaire de Nos Commandemens, et auquel Nous avons fait apposer le sceau de Nos armes.
Fait à Notre Quartier-général de Dubno en Wolhynie, le 13/24 septembre 1798.

We Louis-Joseph de Bourbon, Prince of Condé, Prince of the Blood, Peer and Grand Master of France, Duke of Guise etc. etc., Colonel-General of the French and foreign infantry, Knight of the Orders of the King of France and of the Order of Saint Andrew of Russia, Grand Prior of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Malta in the Grand Priory of Russia, commanding the corps of nobility and French troops in the service of His Majesty the Emperor of all the Russias,
Certify that M. Philippe de Horrer, of the province of Alsace, who emigrated on 18 August 1792, joined us on 1 October 1795 and has served under our orders from that time until this day, having made the campaigns of 1796 and 1797 in the corps of the Knights of the Crown, and serving since the new formation in the Noble Cavalry Regiment; that he took part in all the actions of the 1796 campaign in which the cavalry was engaged, namely those of 13 August and 24 October; that he conducted himself with honour, distinguishing himself by his zeal, his courage and his good will.
In witness whereof We have had this certificate issued to him, signed by Our hand, countersigned by the Secretary of Our Commands, and sealed with the seal of Our arms.
